FAQs
Are children welcome?
If you are traveling in for the wedding, you are welcome to bring your children to the Monday brunch. We love your kids, but the other events will be adults-only.
Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?
Yes! There will be a variety of options to accommodate dietary restrictions. This will not be a kosher event.
Do I need to bring anything to the events?
Please bring a 21+ ID to Welcome Party @ Avondale Bowl and the Wedding Eve @ The Hi-Lo
What should I do in my free time?
A few of our favorite Chicago tourist activities include:
Chicago architecture boat tours—a great way to take in Chicago’s iconic downtown skyscrapers and learn about its rich architectural history (we would join you if it weren’t our wedding weekend). If you don’t have time for a full tour, we also love walking along the Riverwalk.
Museums—the Chicago Art Institute and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) are Sam and Sarah staples. The Field Museum and the Shedd Aquarium are also world-renowned.
Sampling Chicago’s cuisine—check out Chicago Eater for excellent reviews of the city’s finest fare.
Walking or renting a bike to explore the Lakefront Trail—if the weather cooperates, we love swimming in Lake Michigan (though the lake will be a little chilly in May).
Exploring the neighborhoods—we would argue that the best parts of Chicago are tucked away within the neighborhoods that encircle downtown. The further out you go, the more character you’ll find!
Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?
Yes, please reach out to Sam (925.786.3396) or Sarah (216.630.8078) if you have any questions.
